Bigger and more ambitious than previous editions, Best Eats 2026 marks a significant milestone for the Indonesian Food and Beverage scene and for FoodieS. This year, the awards will name the 100 Best Restaurants in Indonesia, acknowledging the country’s evolving culinary landscape and the growing appetite for thoughtful, experience-driven dining.

Launched in 2017, Best Eats by FoodieS was created in response to Indonesia’s rising food-driven culture. The mission has remained consistent: to recognize outstanding dining establishments across the country through a process that is transparent, ethical, and driven by experts.
What began as awards highlighting the Top 40 Restaurants in Jakarta and Bali has grown into a nationwide benchmark. Guided by a panel of respected figures across the culinary industry, Best Eats continues to uphold its founding principle—objectivity above all.
Best Eats 2026 is guided by a panel of respected culinary experts from diverse backgrounds, ensuring an ethical and transparent evaluation process.
Restaurants are divided into three categories and are evaluated based on the category they are nominated for.
Fine Dining — Pursuit of excellence in taste, presentation, creativity, and service.
Upmarket Venues — Concept-driven restaurants offering elevated dining in refined, inviting spaces.
Casual Dining — Approachable, lively venues delivering standout food and beverage experiences.
Anyone can submit a nomination, including restaurants that choose to put themselves forward. From the nominations, the judging panel conducts independent visits and votes only for venues they’ve experienced within the past 12 months. Each nominee is considered within Fine Dining, Upmarket Venues, or Casual Dining, with all votes reviewed and deliberated before the final list is revealed in Jakarta in April 2026.
