Bali-based specialty coffee company Expat. Roasters has teamed up with Black Sand Brewery to launch Coffee Blonde, a limited-edition brew that combines the bold flavors of specialty coffee with the crisp refreshment of craft beer.

The collaboration brings together Expat. Roasters’ Single Origin Kintamani honey beans and Black Sand Brewery’s signature blonde ale, resulting in a pale golden beer with a smooth, balanced finish. With an aroma of caramel, dried citrus, and honey, Coffee Blonde highlights the natural complexity of coffee while maintaining the drinkability of a light-bodied beer. At 4.5% ABV, the brew is designed to be both approachable and refreshing.

“At Expat. Roasters, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and surprise our customers,” said Shae Macnamara, CEO and Founder of Expat. Roasters. “Coffee Blonde is a celebration of creativity and collaboration, bringing together the best of our coffee expertise and Black Sand Brewery’s craft beer mastery.”

The beverage will be available in limited quantities on tap at select Expat. Roasters locations, including Beachwalk Bali, Mori Tower Jakarta, and Graha Family Surabaya, as well as at Black Sand Brewery’s taproom in Canggu, Bali.

“We wanted to challenge traditional notions of coffee-infused beer by allowing the coffee to shine as a primary ingredient rather than just an accent,” said Michael King, Head Brewer of Black Sand Brewery. “This collaboration showcases how both coffee and beer can be elevated together.”

With its unique blend of flavors and craftsmanship, Coffee Blonde offers a new experience for both coffee and beer enthusiasts, available only while supplies last.
