Jakarta Cocktail Week (JCW) will make its debut from 24 to 28 November 2026, bringing five days of cocktail-focused programming to the city. Described as Indonesia’s first city-wide, consumer-facing cocktail festival, the inaugural edition will feature more than 20 international guest bars from nine Asian countries and territories, alongside masterclasses, late-night after-parties and a one-day Cocktail Village at Sudirman Hall, SCBD.
The festival is organised by an industry-led committee made up of bar owners, bartenders and hospitality figures. JCW aims to connect Jakarta’s bar community with international peers while creating opportunities for drinkers to meet the people and places behind the bars. The first edition is expected to welcome more than 3,500 attendees, with more than 10,000 cocktails expected to be served across five days of programming.
Bringing Jakarta Into the Regional Cocktail Conversation
JCW’s stated vision is to position Jakarta as a leading cocktail destination in Southeast Asia. Its four goals are to grow domestic cocktail culture and consumption, empower the next generation of Indonesian bartenders, build a sustainable annual platform for the industry and attract F&B and leisure travellers to Jakarta.
The festival also comes at a time when the organisers see a shift towards experience-led drinking in Jakarta. Rather than positioning cocktails as a supporting element of a broader entertainment festival, JCW puts cocktails and the people behind them at the centre of its programme.
“Jakarta has developed an incredibly exciting cocktail scene, with talented bartenders and bars that deserve greater international recognition. We believe this is the right moment to bring the industry together and create something that represents Jakarta as a whole,” said Stefanie Wijono, JCW Organising Committee Member and Deputy Marketing & PR Director of The Union Group.
“Through Jakarta Cocktail Week, we want to give people more reasons to discover the city’s bars, create opportunities for our local bartenders, and build stronger connections between Indonesia and the international cocktail community,” said Andra Satar, JCW Organising Committee Member and Co-Founder of The Golden Tooth and Salty Fish.
Although the festival is centred on Jakarta, the organisers say its ambitions extend beyond the capital. “Although the festival is called Jakarta Cocktail Week, our ambition is much bigger than Jakarta alone. As Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta should also be a place where talent from different cities can come together, share their creativity, and connect with the world,” said Hartono “Ono” Moe, JCW Organising Committee Member and Co-Founder of OSMO by TOMA Group.
Five Days of Cocktail Programming
The week opens on Tuesday, 24 November at The Gunawarman, with Bangkok bartenders Dicky Hartono of Firefly, Ryan Dela Vega of Aqua Bar and Niks Anuman of G.O.D. The closing party will take place on Saturday, 28 November at Artesian Bar at The Langham, Jakarta, featuring Andrew Ho of Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame, which the release identifies as No. 1 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026.
International guest shifts will run from 25 to 28 November, with bartenders from Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam taking over Jakarta bars for one night each. The programme is organised across different parts of the city, allowing guests to visit multiple shifts throughout each evening.
Nightcaps will follow the guest shifts, with after-parties scheduled at Jaya Pub on 25 November, Bottom Parlour on 26 November and Duckdown Bar on 27 November.
The main public event, Cocktail Village, will take place on Friday, 27 November at Sudirman Hall, Sequis Tower, SCBD. Entry is free, with the event bringing together cocktails, bartenders, food, music and entertainment. Brand booths will serve cocktails by bars from across Indonesia, alongside food booths from local F&B partners.
The programme will also include masterclasses and panel discussions featuring industry figures including Indra Kantono of Jigger & Pony in Singapore and Jon Lee of Penrose in Kuala Lumpur. The panel discussions will be moderated by Ray Janson ahead of the Cocktail Village festivities.
For the Cocktail Village’s charitable component, 100% of profits from sales at the Star Bar will go towards a charity supporting people affected by the Kalimantan forest fires. The Star Bar will feature guest shifts from Hong Kong’s Penicillin and Bar Leone, identified in the release as The World’s Best Bar 2026, alongside local bartenders.
Ahead of the main festival, participating bars will also serve at least one Road to JCW cocktail from 1 to 28 November.
International Guest Bars
The guest shift programme includes Mius from Hong Kong at Nautilus and A Bar Has No Name from Shanghai at St. Regis Bar on 25 November, alongside Osaka’s Craftroom at Koda and Hong Kong’s Argo at Cosmo Pony.
On 26 November, participating Jakarta hosts include HATS, OSMO, The Golden Tooth, TARA, Modernhaus and Between The Sips, with guest bars arriving from Changsha, Singapore, Penang, Bangkok, Taipei and Seoul.
The programme continues on 27 November with The Enigma Mansion from Ho Chi Minh City at Truce and Bangkok’s Dry Wave at Carrots. On 28 November, Dead Poets from Hong Kong, Vender from Taichung, Raw + Atelier from Ho Chi Minh City, Alice from Seoul and Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou will take over Jakarta bars.
JCW is organised by a nine-member committee comprising figures from Jakarta’s bar and hospitality industry, including Stefanie Wijono, Andra Satar, Mirwansyah “Bule”, Banjo Tasning, Hadi Ismanto, Demitria Ramona, Hartono “Ono” Moe, Jed Doble and Niko Idham Kholid.
The festival’s official hotel partners are The Langham, Jakarta and The Gunawarman, while Bluebird joins as the official ride partner. Bluebird will offer a special promo code for guests travelling to and from participating bars during festival week.
Jakarta Cocktail Week 2026 will take place from 24 to 28 November 2026, with the free-entry Cocktail Village scheduled for 27 November at Sudirman Hall, Sequis Tower, SCBD, South Jakarta. Road to JCW cocktails will be available at participating bars from 1 to 28 November.
