Plataran Catering Services, in collaboration with Wisma Habibie Ainun, has introduced the Habibie Legacy Experience, a programme that combines a guided house tour, storytelling, and a curated culinary journey inspired by the life of Indonesia’s third president B.J. Habibie and Hasri Ainun Besari.
Set within Wisma Habibie Ainun, the programme invites visitors to explore the residence that holds personal memories of the couple, offering a closer look at their life, values, and shared history. The experience begins with an exclusive house tour, followed by a storytelling session that reflects on their relationship, public service, and the values of loyalty and dedication associated with their legacy.
A central part of the programme is its food component, where Plataran Catering Services presents a menu inspired by dishes connected to Habibie and Ainun’s life. The selection includes Sayur Lodeh Kenangan Ainun, a Javanese vegetable dish prepared with mild spices, and Ayam Semur Si Gula Jawa, described as one of Ainun’s preferred comfort dishes.
The menu also reflects moments from Habibie’s life through dishes such as Sate Domba Gulai Kota Kembang, referencing his youth in Bandung, and Iga Sapi Saus Soto Betawi Andalan Satiyah, a dish linked to Satiyah, the family’s long-time cook. Each dish is positioned not only as a culinary offering but as part of a broader narrative tied to personal memories and cultural context.
To conclude, the experience features Strudel Apel Pelukan Jerman, a dessert that references Germany, where Habibie and Ainun spent part of their life and where their relationship developed further.
