A regional initiative spotlighting women in the drinks and lifestyle industries will take place in Hong Kong this March. Women & Tipple, a cross-cultural series founded in Manila by DrinkCollectiv, arrives at Avoca on 9 March 2026 for a one-night bar takeover at Mondrian Hong Kong.
Hosted on the 38th floor of Mondrian Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui, the event pairs women bartenders from across Asia with founders, creators, and entrepreneurs to co-create one-night-only signature cocktails. The programme runs from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with collaborative bar shifts scheduled between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
Cross-Industry Cocktail Collaborations
The format brings together bartenders from Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, and Shenzhen with women influencers and founders from Hong Kong, Korea, and the Philippines. Each duo will present two signature cocktails inspired by shared values, identity, and personal stories.
From 8:00 to 9:00 PM, collaborations include:
Taki Li, Bar Manager of Bar Leone in Hong Kong, paired with content creator Yuki Leung
Lupus Chan of Avoca, paired with Seoul-based lifestyle influencer Britty Ko
From 9:00 to 10:00 PM:
Kim Liu, Lead Bartender of Wing Lei Bar at Wynn Palace Macau, paired with wine and spirits critic Cecilia Wong
Ring Zhao, Founder of Bar Choice Group in Shanghai and Shenzhen, paired with beauty entrepreneur Tyffanie Short, Founder of One Earth Organics
The takeover places women behind the bar in a structured two-hour programme before the event continues into the night with DJs and open social programming.
Women-Led Brands on Display
Beyond cocktails, the evening will feature a curated showcase of women-founded lifestyle brands focused on sustainability, craftsmanship, and social impact. Participating labels include fine jewellery house ARAO, skincare brand LA THEA, lifestyle scent brand The Blomstre, and organic skincare company One Earth Organics.
“Women & Tipple began in 2018 as a way to tell the stories of women navigating the drinks industry. What started as a feature on DrinkCollectiv.com has grown into a cross-cultural, cross-industry series, using bars as an anchor to connect women across Asia through conversation, collaboration, and shared experience,” shares Tatum Ancheta, founder of DrinkCollectiv.
About the Venue
Avoca, Mondrian Hong Kong’s flagship cocktail bar, opened in December 2023 and has received recognition including Best Bar and Best Cocktail Programme at the 2024 Time Out Bar Awards. Known for its skyline views, DJ programming, and Hong Kong-inspired drinks menu, the bar serves as the Hong Kong partner venue for this edition of Women & Tipple.
