The Coach Restaurant is setting the stage for a new weekend tradition in Jakarta with the launch of Prime Rib Sundays. Beginning in February 2026, the restaurant will serve slow-roasted Canadian prime rib in limited quantities each week, carved directly from a tableside cart and paired with comforting sides. The concept takes inspiration from New York’s long-standing Sunday gatherings, where meals are shared slowly and with intention.
At the center of the experience is a 14-day dry-aged Canadian rib eye. Canadian beef is known for its grain-fed quality, producing meat that is tender, richly marbled, and full of flavor. Raised in wide, clean environments, the cattle are supported by responsible farming practices and a strict grading system that ensures consistency in every cut. These qualities make the beef especially suited for slow roasting, a method that draws out depth of flavor and creates a centerpiece worthy of the table.
The ritual is designed to be flexible, whether enjoyed alone with The Single Cut of 150g, as a couple with The Coach Cut of 300g, or with family through Rexy’s Famous Cut of 600g. Alongside the prime rib, guests are served sides that evoke comfort and tradition: mashed potatoes, creamed corn and spinach, cheddar biscuits, and onion gravy. The carving cart adds a sense of occasion, turning the meal into more than just a dish—it becomes part of the rhythm of the day.
