Jakarta’s cocktail scene enters a lively stretch this week, with flavours and ideas moving across bars in a way that feels almost like a festival. From 27 January to 6 February 2026, there are at least 17 bar takeovers happening across the city.  Each one brings a different style, with bartenders from both local spots and international names stepping behind the counter. The Cosmo Pony Roundtable runs from 28 – 31 January 2026, with eight visiting bars spread over four nights. The Golden Tooth continues its third anniversary guest shift with Dry Wave Cocktail Studio from Bangkok. The St. Regis Bar Jakarta hosts Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou, while Dualism Bar welcomes Gento Torigata of Waltz from London. 

 

What makes this week stand out is the variety of drinks that we will get. Every bar adds its own approach, whether that means reworking classic recipes, using local ingredients, or showing how drinks are made in their home city. Put together, it’s less about one big theme and more about seeing how different bars share their own stories in Jakarta at the same time.
