At its Grand Indonesia location in Sudirman, Markette has introduced a new way of serving food that focuses on sound, smell, and sight as much as taste. The restaurant now offers the Sizzling Plate Experience, where meals arrive on hot plates that sizzle at the table. This refreshed approach reimagines the Skillet, now called the Sizzling Plate. Though the name has changed, the spirit remains: comforting dishes served hot, now with a touch more drama. The experience begins as the plate reaches the table, steam curling upward, sauces bubbling, and cheese stretching with each pull.
One of the highlights is the Sizzling Cheese Plate, which features dishes topped with cheese that melts and bubbles as it hits the hot surface. The sound of the plate, the smell of the sauce, and the look of the cheese stretching across the dish are all part of the experience.
Among the new offerings is the Cajun Chicken Cheese. It’s made with roasted chicken seasoned with a mild Cajun spice blend, served with mozzarella that melts as it’s brought to the table. The result is a mix of gentle heat and soft, stretchy cheese. Another dish, the Creamy Truffle Chicken, combines parmesan-crusted chicken with a smooth truffle cream sauce. The scent of truffle fills the air as the dish arrives, adding a warm and earthy note to the meal.
Markette has also updated two of its well-known dishes. The Parmesan-Crusted Chicken now comes with a richer mushroom truffle cream and melted mozzarella, while the Roasted Chicken is served with the restaurant’s house sauce and cheese on a hot plate. Both dishes keep their original flavors but are now presented in a more layered and indulgent way.
