Fairmont Jakarta has introduced The Crown Terrace, a new open-air extension of its acclaimed dining destination, The Crown by Kirk Westaway. Designed as a relaxed setting where golden sunsets meet refined flavors, the terrace brings a fresh dimension to the British-inspired culinary experience in the capital.
Overlooking the Senayan golf course, The Crown Terrace offers sweeping city views and a casual yet elegant environment for after-work drinks, weekend indulgence, or gatherings with friends and family. Carlos Monterde, General Manager of Fairmont Jakarta, described it as “an exciting evolution for Fairmont Jakarta’s dining scene. It blends the culinary artistry and precision of The Crown by Kirk Westaway with the inviting charm of an open-air setting, offering guests a fresh and relaxed way to experience our renowned hospitality.”
The food menu is rooted in timeless bar favorites, elevated through The Crown’s focus on premium ingredients and precise execution. Guests can expect dishes such as the indulgent Crown Burger made with USDA Prime Chuck and Comté cheese, the Crown Chicken with Mahkota Sambal, and a nostalgic Fish Finger Sandwich, inspired by Head Chef Asa Sibcy’s childhood memories. For dessert, Pisang Goreng with salted caramel adds a playful twist to a local favorite.
Chef Asa emphasized the collaborative process behind the menu: “I was involved from the very first spark of the idea through to perfecting each recipe. It has been a true team effort involving ideas, trials, and refinements to ensure the Terrace menu reflects The Crown’s identity while offering a fresh, more relaxed experience.”
The drinks program is led by internationally recognized mixologist Marek Vojcarcik, who created a British-inspired cocktail collection titled The Curious Chronicles of Winston the Sheep. Highlights include the saffron-infused Golden Thread, Whispers in Lavender, Floral Bloom, Royal Lime Conspiracy Gimlet, and the robust Ghost in the Roast. The drinks list is rounded out by premium beers, artisanal coffee and tea, and a range of soft drinks.
Accommodating 40 to 50 guests, the semi-open terrace combines dining tables with lounge seating, making it suitable for both casual meals and evenings of cocktails. It opens daily from 6 p.m. until late, ideally timed to capture Jakarta’s golden hour. Walk-ins are welcome, though reservations are recommended on weekends and special event nights.
For those seeking a more tailored experience, The Crown Terrace is also available for private hire, providing a distinctive open-air setting for intimate celebrations or bespoke corporate gatherings — all delivered with the signature finesse of The Crown by Kirk Westaway.
