JAPFA Food, the downstream business entity of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), has partnered with Silk Bistro, part of the BIKO Group, to celebrate Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with a culinary collaboration that highlights local flavors, tradition, and togetherness.

The collaboration was officially unveiled during a media luncheon on August 20, 2025, at Silk Bistro, which is housed in a heritage building in Central Jakarta. Two limited-time dishes have been created for the occasion, combining JAPFA Food’s quality products with Silk Bistro’s contemporary cooking approach.

The first is Honey Grilled Chicken, crafted with Olagud probiotic chicken, a locally raised poultry product cultivated under ideal conditions using modern farming technology to ensure premium quality and nutrition. The second is Rawon Noodles, featuring Tokusen premium beef as the star ingredient, reimagining the classic East Javanese rawon in noodle form. Both dishes will be available throughout August.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to providing high-quality animal protein for the community,” said Andre Sibuea, Trade Marketing Manager of Olagud. “Our Olagud probiotic chicken is locally farmed, supported by advanced facilities, and designed to deliver not only taste but also nutrition.”

The theme of the collaboration, “Flavor, Heritage and Togetherness,” is reflected in the menu, which pays homage to traditional Indonesian recipes while incorporating premium ingredients and Silk Bistro’s modern culinary expertise. “Together with Silk Bistro, we wanted to present a premium beef experience that not only satisfies the palate but also evokes pride in Indonesia’s culinary heritage,” Andre added.

Silk Bistro, inspired by the cultural crossroads of the Silk Road, is known for its contemporary Asian cuisine designed to honor tradition, revive history, and provide a gathering place for families. For Chef-Owner Freddie Salim, each dish carries a deeper story. “Every dish we create has meaning—whether about tradition, family, or togetherness—values that have been deeply ingrained in Indonesian dining culture across generations,” he said.

The special menu is available to the public at Silk Bistro for the entire month of August, inviting diners to experience the harmony of flavors in honey grilled chicken and rawon noodles—dishes prepared with a spirit of collaboration, cultural pride, and a celebration of Indonesia’s culinary legacy.
