Chef Yvonne believes that her roots in Shanghai-style home cooking play a significant role in her self-identification as a home cook. Her journey began when she started preparing dishes from her childhood for her loved ones, aiming to recreate the comforting and flavourful meals she cherished. She believes in the strong connection between food and emotions.
During her teenage years in Hong Kong, Chef Yvonne’s culinary horizons expanded as she encountered various cuisines, including Cantonese and other regional Chinese delicacies. Additionally, her passion for culinary exploration led her to travel the world regularly, savoring local dishes in every destination. This exposure to international flavors not only broadened her culinary knowledge but also inspired her to blend Eastern and Western influences in her cooking. She fearlessly experiments with various cooking techniques and ingredients, harmoniously combining Chinese elements with Western methods, resulting in her unique and extraordinary culinary creations.
Five years ago, Yvonne embarked on her private dining venture, focusing on traditional Chinese cooking. Over time, she has taken this culinary journey to new heights by infusing classical Oriental dishes with captivating stories and impeccable presentations.

These dishes aim to rekindle sweet memories from the past while helping to create new happy memories simultaneously. Two new exclusive wedding and banquet menus (Jasmine and Chrysanthemum) are available to choose from. However, for those who wish to personalize their event menus, Chef Yvonne and the hotel’s team of food artisans are available for in-person consultations. Clients can request up to four customized menus (Jade, Pearl, Ruby, and Emerald), and Chef Yvonne Yuen will create special dishes exclusively for their celebratory events.
