I first knew Cecemuwe from its Senayan outpost—a neighborhood café where wholesome food and good coffee met in a relaxed, welcoming space. Now, the brand has planted its roots in Gading Serpong, carrying the same spirit into a brighter, glass-walled setting with one major upgrade: it sits right next to a dog park.

“Cecemuwe is a Sanskrit word that means to joke around, to lightly tease your friends,” says owner Monica. “We’ve always wanted to be a cozy place for your daily cup of specialty coffee, comfort food, and of course—pets are always welcome. Here, we’re even more pet-friendly because of our location right next to the park.”

The new space feels airy and warm, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that let in the light and open views of the greenery outside. Inside, mid-century modern touches meet a casual café atmosphere: warm wooden tables, mismatched seating, and a mix of communal and intimate spots. It’s the kind of place that adapts to your day—morning coffee, laptop work, lunch with friends, or a quiet dinner with family and pets.

The kitchen stays true to what worked in Senayan. “Just like before, we’re doing simple dishes, done well with good ingredients,” Monica explains. Staples like their best-selling Fish and Chips return, joined by small upgrades such as a Truffle Chicken Steak with creamy mushroom sauce. The menu moves easily between Indonesian favorites—Tempe Mendoan, Bakwan Jagung, Nasi Goreng Salmon Cabe Ijo—and Western or Asian comfort plates, all built for everyday dining.

The Gading Serpong branch also launches signature drinks exclusive to this location. “The Orange Mocha Cream is mocha with orange-infused whipped cream,” says Monica. “The Apple Matcha Dream is apple juice topped with silky matcha. We also have the Ginger Coffee Fizz from our first venue—coffee with our homemade ginger-lemongrass syrup and ginger ale. And the Coconut Einspanner with coconut cream and espresso.”

Even the café’s hospitality extends beyond human guests. “We have entremets for dogs made with safe ingredients and a meatloaf filling,” Monica says. “We also have pupsicles, like I Woof You Berry Much, made from seasonal mixed berries, honey, and low-fat Greek yogurt.”

With a familiar menu, new signature drinks, and a location that embraces both café culture and pet-friendly living, Cecemuwe Gading Serpong continues Monica’s mission: “A cozy place with wholesome food, thoughtful service, and a space where everyone—pets included—feels welcome.”
