Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year with a dining event centered on Cantonese cuisine. On 16 February 2026, Joempa will host Cantonese Legacy, a celebration built around dishes that carry cultural meaning and are best enjoyed together at one table.
The meal opens with Traditional Yee Sang, a dish often shared to mark prosperity and harmony. From there, guests will find a range of Cantonese specialties. Buddha Jump Over the Wall offers a soup layered with depth, while Exquisite Treasure of the Sea combines sea cucumber and abalone, delicacies closely tied to festive occasions. Other dishes include Black Pepper Mud Crab with Mantao, Steamed Grouper with Superior Sauce, and Ho See Fat Choy, each reflecting traditions passed down through generations.
Chefs will also prepare dishes live, including Roasted Peking Duck, Char Siu, and Hainan Chicken, adding a sense of immediacy to the experience. Dim sum, steamboat, and hot pot bring variety to the table, while desserts such as Sesame Nian Gao, Lychee and Rose Pudding, and a flowing Royal Milk Chocolate Fountain close the evening. Interactive dessert stations add a playful touch, inviting guests to end the celebration with something sweet.
The atmosphere will be shaped not only by food but also by music and cultural performances. A live band, Barongsai, and Bian Lian will accompany the evening, while a photobooth offers a way to capture shared moments.
