Marking Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day celebrations, Plataran Indonesia officially opened Plataran Makassar Venue & Dining on August 8, 2025. The launch expands the homegrown luxury hospitality group’s presence to Eastern Indonesia, introducing its award-winning Next Level Venue & Dining concept to Makassar.
Situated within the Kepala Naga Premium Green Mega Property Development of Summarecon Mutiara, near the Ir. Sutami Toll Gate Km. 8 and close to the city center, Plataran Makassar offers a combination of dining, venue, and MICE facilities. The new destination mirrors the success of Hutan Kota by Plataran in Senayan, Jakarta, which has hosted international events including the G20 Indonesia and ASEAN Summit 2023.
Designed for large-scale gatherings as well as intimate occasions, Plataran Makassar can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Facilities include indoor and outdoor private dining areas, multiple meeting rooms, a special performance deck, expansive parking with complimentary valet service, and a prayer room. The venue’s two-level dining area features an outdoor roof deck, while the interiors are decorated with Sulawesi and Bugis-inspired elements alongside lush urban gardens.
Culinary Offerings
The kitchen at Plataran Makassar follows the Plataran International Standard, combining Nusantara flavors with Makassar influences. Dishes on the opening menu include starters such as Bola-Bola Mutiara and Labu Telor Asin; mains like Sapi Bakar Bambu, Gulai Ikan Pedas, and Bebek Bakar Sambal Palekko; and desserts such as Onde-Onde Kelapa and Klapertaart Pavlova. In addition to local specialties, curated international selections are also available, all paired with Plataran’s signature premium service.
Expanding Community Connections
Beyond dining, the venue is designed as a hub for community activities under the WeConnect Plataran program. Events will range from sports and automotive gatherings to fashion, wellness, yoga, and pilates. This aligns with Plataran’s broader philosophy of combining culture, nature, and community within its hospitality offerings, supported by the Plataran UMKM Ecosystem.
“We are proud and delighted to enhance the hospitality scene of Kota Anging Mamiri — the Pearl of Eastern Indonesia — with a venue and dining concept that embodies Next Level Makassar,” said Yozua Makes, CEO of Plataran Indonesia. “Rooted in Indonesia’s culture, nature, and communities, it is delivered with international hospitality standards supported by the Plataran UMKM Ecosystem.”
