Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta invites guests to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with an exclusive selection of gourmet mooncakes and chocolate fortune cakes, crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Lorenzo Sollecito and his team at La Patisserie. Available from 18 August to 6 October 2025, the seasonal offerings are designed to capture the spirit of reunion and abundance that defines the festival.
This year’s highlight is a collection of Chocolate Fortune Cakes inspired by traditional Chinese home remedies. Infused with ingredients known for their health benefits, these sweets aim to nourish as well as delight. Goji berries are used for immune support, white fungus for collagen enhancement, honey for its healing properties, and fermented black sticky rice for aiding digestion.
The fortune cakes are available in four distinct flavours, each paired with the richness of chocolate: Tamarind White Fungus Jelly and Egg Custard, Longan and Goji Berries, Honey Ginger Jelly and Honey Osmanthus Mousse, and Black Sticky Rice and Pomegranate Jelly.
The Gourmet Mooncakes come in four core flavours — Jasmine, Matcha, Black Sesame Double Yolk, and White Lotus Double Yolk. For bulk orders of 20 boxes or more, a special Mid-Autumn selection includes Black Sesame, White Lotus, Pandan, and Red Bean.
Packaging reflects the artistry and elegance of the season. Classic Mooncakes are presented in a lantern-style box, while Fortune Cakes are housed in a sculptural hamper. Both designs feature a serene nature scene — clouds, waves, flowers, and trees — with a peacock at the centre, rendered in muted gold and silver tones, accented with cobalt blue and white.
The festival, an important occasion in Chinese culture, is traditionally a time for families to gather under the full moon and share sweets that echo its shape, symbolising reunion and prosperity.
Pricing for the seasonal collection is as follows: Mooncake Lantern (4 mooncakes) at IDR 1,488,000; Fortune Cakes Hamper (4 fortune cakes) at IDR 728,000; and Mid-Autumn Gift Box (4 mooncakes) at IDR 688,000 for orders of 20 boxes or more. All items are available for takeaway or delivery.
