Believed to begin in the late Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), the Chinese dancing lion’s anatomy is thought to casts away bad spirits, while the dance symbolizes luck and fortune. Inspired by that, Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort opened its new Lion X, a modern Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine.

Open for lunch (12:00 PM-3:00 PM) and dinner (6:00 PM-10:30 PM), Lion X is helmed by a Chinese Chef, Alex Kuan. This new Chinese specialties dining venue is located right beside the R Bar, set to cater to up to 114 persons. Diners will encounter a contemporary design inside, with a stylish Chinese lounge in front of the main door. Dominated by green and red colors on its interior, representing good luck and wealth, Lion X showcases unscripted art pieces throughout the venue. It’s a perfect space for a more sophisticated celebration or a casual social gathering with a private dining room and outdoor dining area.

Chinese cuisine is an all-time favorite and has been around for thousands of years. One of the most influential types, Cantonese food, is considered relatively milder than others, while Szechuan food is famous for its spicy and bold flavors. Chef Alex Kuan highlights these influences through his signature dishes such as ‘Signature 8 Treasure Flamed Chicken’, ‘Flying Crispy Noodles with Seafood and Egg Gravy in Cantonese Style’, ‘Braised Whole Australian “2 Head Abalone” and Seasonal Vegetables’, ‘Steamed Hokkaido Scallop with Minced Garlic Butter and Glass Noodle.’

For Dimsum lovers, the Hongkong Dim Sum selections are also available on the menu. To complement the meals, guests can enjoy the unique mixing drinks from the bar, namely the Disco Dragon, Canton Tea Party, Bun Bun, Dragon Fist, and many more.
