Lucky for those island dwellers in Bali, Milano Canggu recently concluded its two-night “Meat Affair,” a collaboration between two talented chefs—Milano’s Chef Manuel Polin and Sir Loin Jakarta’s Chef Andita Biantoro.

This four-hands “Meat Affair” dinner held from 21-22 October combines two approaches to meat and truffle, artistically created by the two talented chefs. The three-course dinner begins with a savory Panna Cotta, with the dominant flavor of black truffle, and is made with cauliflower, cured egg yolk, and confit cherry tomatoes.

Guests were treated with the Pecorino Dry Aged Picanha MB5 dry, paired with Bell’s Blended Scotch Whisky. The Picanha was a delectable treat—tender and rich in flavor.

The two chefs did not hold back in treating their patrons as they served desserts. Chef Manuel served his signature ‘Tartufo-misu’—white truffle ice cream, burnt meringue, mascarpone mousse, and bitter chocolate peels. For his part, Chef Andita prepared a mouth-watering volcano cheesecake with chocolate soil and topped with strawberry puree.

For a late-night dinner rendezvous or some pre-game dinner and drinks with friends, Milano Canggu is an option to consider.

Milano Canggu isn’t just about its delectable dishes, the laid-back ambiance, or the specially-crafted cocktail menu—this space is also all about the chic atmosphere that it provides. The crowd is an intimate mix of dolled-up beauties and casually dressed fellows enjoying delectable dishes and drinks.

Bringing the European cultural ritual of ‘aperitivo’ into the island, Milano is a trendy spot for pre-meal drinks or late-night meet-ups, providing an extensive drink list specializing in Negronis.

Milano Canggu prides itself on 12 special Negronis in its cocktail list and “simple and fulfilling dishes with influences of different regions from our dearly beloved Italian cuisine.”

It’s casual and intimate, sophisticated yet comfortable, stylish yet unpretentious. Open from 7 am to 12 midnight, Milano Canggu caters to more than just the night owls, serving breakfast favorites for the early morning risers treading along Berawa Beach.
