Alila Villas Uluwatu is set to continue its Indonesia Finest Bar Series with a two-night guest shift programme featuring The Bottom Parlour and The Cocktail Club Jakarta, bringing two of Jakarta’s leading cocktail bars to Batique Bar later this month.
Taking place on 21 and 22 July 2026, the second edition of the series will showcase signature cocktails from the visiting bars while highlighting different approaches to Indonesia’s contemporary cocktail scene.
The programme opens on 21 July with The Bottom Parlour, a Jakarta bar recognised for its experimental cocktail programme and hospitality. On 22 July, the series continues with The Cocktail Club Jakarta, which was ranked No. 12 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024.
Showcasing Contemporary Indonesian Cocktail Culture
Representing the guest bars are Ronny, an award-winning bartender recognised by Asia’s 50 Best Bars, and Uncle John, co-founder of The Bottom Parlour and the creator of the bar’s signature house blends.
Drawing on his Indonesian-German heritage and Japanese-inspired precision, Ronny is known for cocktails that combine technical craftsmanship with storytelling. Meanwhile, Uncle John has built a reputation for developing distinctive flavour profiles and creative presentations that have become hallmarks of The Bottom Parlour.
Throughout the two evenings, the guest bartenders will present a selection of cocktails created exclusively for the event, with each menu reflecting the philosophy and identity of the respective bars while exploring flavour, balance, and technique.
Guest Shifts at Batique
The event will be held at Batique, Alila Villas Uluwatu’s speakeasy-inspired cocktail bar, which regularly hosts collaborations with leading bartenders and beverage professionals.
The Indonesia Finest Bar Series aims to introduce guests to some of the country’s most recognised bars through limited-time guest shifts, offering an opportunity to experience different styles of cocktail making in one venue.
The Batique Takeover by The Bottom Parlour will take place on 21 July, followed by The Cocktail Club Jakarta on 22 July, with both guest shifts beginning from 6 p.m. Signature cocktails will be available at IDR 200,000++ per glass.
