In Jakarta, Lunar New Year is marked as much by shared meals and gifting as by reunion itself. Across generations, families gather around symbolic dishes such as yu sheng, roast meats, and festive desserts, while hampers filled with sweets and cakes are exchanged as gestures of goodwill and prosperity. Each year, hotels and restaurants across the city interpret these traditions through seasonal dining and curated gifts.

Against this backdrop, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place has outlined its Lunar New Year 2026 programme, presenting a combination of festive dining at PA.SO.LA Restaurant alongside a dedicated Lunar New Year hampers collection. The programme is designed around togetherness, symbolic flavours, and gifting practices commonly associated with the celebration.

The hotel’s Lunar New Year Hampers Collection is offered in three tiers—Legacy, Dynasty, and Majesty—priced from IDR 988,000+ to IDR 3,288,000+. Each hamper is built around classic festive items commonly exchanged during the Lunar New Year:

  • Legacy
Includes four selections of artisanal cookies or one whole plain or prune layer cake, positioned as a smaller-format gift for intimate gatherings.

  • Dynasty
Comprises four selections of artisanal cookies alongside one whole plain or prune layer cake, designed for family sharing and larger festive occasions.

  • Majesty
The most extensive hamper, featuring four selections of artisanal cookies, one whole plain or prune layer cake, diffuser oil, loose tea, honey, dried fruit, and a 750 ml bottle of sparkling juice, reflecting the tradition of gifting abundance during the Lunar New Year.

On the dining front, PA.SO.LA Restaurant will host a series of Lunar New Year meals spanning the eve, day brunch, and day dinner. The menus open with yu sheng featuring salmon and jellyfish, followed by a selection of house-made dim sum including shrimp siu mai and chicken gyoza. Main dishes draw from familiar Lunar New Year staples, with offerings such as stir-fried lobster, grouper fillet, suckling pig, and the restaurant’s signature Peking duck prepared using traditional techniques.

Complementing the food, the dining experience includes a signature welcome drink made with Darjeeling tea, lychee, ginger, and lemon, alongside a line-up of Lunar New Year–themed cocktails. Festive elements extend beyond the table, with lion dance performances scheduled during the Lunar New Year’s Eve dinner, reinforcing the ceremonial aspect of the celebration.

Through its Lunar New Year 2026 programme, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place frames the celebration through two enduring customs—shared dining and thoughtful gifting—presented in a contemporary hotel setting while remaining anchored in tradition.
