Taking place this Thursday and Friday, 27–28 February 2026, Ambar Ubud Bar at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will host Spirits of the Ubud Jungle, a two-night collaborative cocktail event bringing together leading bars from across Asia for a series of guest shifts inspired by Bali’s natural landscape.
Set against the rainforest backdrop overlooking the Ayung River, the event explores the relationship between place, sustainability, and contemporary cocktail culture. Hosted by Ambar Ubud Bar, the programme focuses on storytelling-led mixology, with participating bars invited to interpret the “spirit” of the Ubud jungle through locally inspired ingredients and techniques.
The line-up includes CARROTS from Jakarta, COA from Hong Kong, FURA from Singapore, Le Chamber from Seoul, and Workshop 14 from Hanoi. Each bar brings its own philosophy, ranging from agave-focused and plant-forward cocktails to technique-driven and locality-based approaches.
Guest shifts at Ambar Ubud Bar are open to the public and structured around a “Black Box Challenge,” where visiting bartenders are presented with a curated selection of local plants, roots, fruits, and botanicals. Using these ingredients, each team will create a one-time cocktail on the spot, guided by technique, intuition, and narrative rather than pre-set recipes. The format is designed to highlight both Bali’s biodiversity and the creative identity of each bar.
On Thursday, 27 February, guest shifts will feature CARROTS and FURA from 6pm to 7pm, followed by Le Chamber and Workshop 14 from 7pm to 8pm. The programme continues on Friday, 28 February, with COA, Le Chamber, and Workshop 14 from 6pm to 7pm, and CARROTS and FURA returning from 7pm to 8pm.
According to Adi San, Head Mixologist at Ambar Ubud Bar, the event reflects the bar’s ongoing commitment to place-driven cocktail experiences. Through Spirits of the Ubud Jungle, Ambar Ubud Bar positions itself as a platform for regional exchange, offering a limited-time opportunity to experience how international bartenders respond to Ubud’s landscape, ingredients, and traditions in real time.
