Jakarta’s tea culture has taken a fresh step forward with the opening of Chagee’s newest flagship store at Plaza Indonesia. The brand, which blends Asian tea traditions with modern design, has chosen the city’s most iconic lifestyle destination to introduce its updated identity for the very first time worldwide.
This new flagship is not only the second Chagee store in Jakarta but also the first anywhere to showcase the brand’s updated look following its eighth anniversary. The choice of Plaza Indonesia feels natural. The mall has long been a meeting point for professionals, travelers, and lifestyle enthusiasts, and its reputation as a premium destination makes it a fitting place for Chagee’s next step in Indonesia.
Adinda Yozari, General Manager of Chagee Indonesia, described the flagship as a space that tells a story of continuity. She explained that every detail was created to show how tea traditions can flow into the present, offering warmth and curiosity without losing their roots.
Inside the store, design plays a central role in shaping the experience. A flowing tea installation symbolizes abundance and hospitality. Handcrafted wooden artwork highlights craftsmanship and detail, while a constellation mural introduces a new visual chapter for the brand. Together, these elements create an atmosphere that connects past and present, offering visitors a modern setting to enjoy tea while still honoring its cultural depth.
To celebrate the opening, Chagee has prepared interactive activities, including a Tear and Win campaign that gives guests the chance to uncover surprises such as exclusive merchandise, travel items, and gadgets. The celebration runs from 27 to 29 November 2025, inviting visitors to explore the flagship and take part in the festivities.
With this debut, Plaza Indonesia strengthens its role as a cultural and lifestyle hub, while Chagee adds a new dimension to Jakarta’s tea scene. The flagship is more than a store—it is a space where tradition and modern design meet, offering a fresh chapter in the city’s evolving tea culture.
