In celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Bacha Coffee Plaza Senayan Coffee Room unveils a limited-time set menu titled Indonesia, Marrakech & Beyond, available from 5 August to 1 September 2025. Designed as a tribute to Indonesia’s rich culinary legacy and vibrant cultural heritage, the menu is a sensory journey that unites local tradition with Bacha Coffee’s global inspirations.
Each dish in the menu is crafted to reflect the spirit of independence — bold, colorful, and meaningful — and is paired with selections from Bacha Coffee’s extensive collection of over 200 specialty 100% Arabica coffees. The result is a celebration of taste, memory, and identity, thoughtfully curated for the occasion.
A Flavorful Tribute to Tradition
The culinary experience begins with the Marrakech Chicken Salad, a layered dish featuring marinated chicken thigh infused with aromatic spices, accompanied by garbanzo beans, grilled pineapple, semi-dried tomatoes, golden raisins, and fresh greens, all dressed in a Vienna Dawn coffee vinaigrette. This globally inspired appetizer captures the essence of Bacha Coffee’s cross-cultural heritage while grounding it in fresh, regional ingredients.
The main course, Javanese-Style Beef Short Ribs, is a heartfelt homage to Indonesian comfort food — slow-cooked beef in a rich sweet chili tomato sauce, served with braised cabbage and soft potatoes. The dish offers warmth and depth, echoing the spirit of community and resilience.
A Sweet Red-and-White Finale
For dessert, Bacha Coffee presents the Raspberry, Madagascan Vanilla Entremet, a refined creation wrapped in the symbolic red and white of Indonesia’s national flag. Layers of raspberry crémeux and Madagascan vanilla mascarpone come together in a dessert that balances aesthetics and taste, reflecting unity in diversity.
In addition, the special menu includes a selection of signature pastries, such as the Seville Orange Chocolate Croissant and Tropical Fruit & Coconut Pain Perdu — the latter combining jackfruit, coconut, Indonesian palm sugar, and Bacha Kaya Jam for a nostalgic local finish.
As part of the Independence Day celebration, Bacha Coffee will offer guests a complimentary Raspberry, Madagascan Vanilla Entremet with a minimum spend of IDR 550,000 on 17 August 2025, exclusively at the Plaza Senayan location.
The experience is further elevated with curated coffee pairings from Bacha Coffee’s signature Indonesian collection. Guests are invited to savor Java Blue Coffee, grown in the highlands of West Java, and Toba Mist Coffee, sourced from the tranquil shores of Lake Toba — each cup showcasing the strength and artistry of Indonesian coffee growers.
