Magnum has launched a new ice cream flavor called Café au Lait. This treat features smooth milk coffee ice cream, rich Belgian chocolate, and crunchy butter cookies. “Magnum created Café au Lait as a satisfying snack for the afternoon or evening. It’s perfect for those who have finished most of their day but still need a little energy boost to keep going. This flavor is a great choice for both ice cream lovers and coffee enthusiasts,” said Aliqa Sendyalaras, Head of Marketing for Ice Cream at Unilever Indonesia.
To celebrate the launch, Magnum teamed up with Mikael Jasin, the 2024 World Barista Champion, and Common Grounds Cafe. They’re bringing a taste of Japanese coffee culture to life, taking cues from traditional kissaten (Japanese coffee houses), coffee stands, chains, konbini (convenience stores), and vending machines. This collab features special drinks and desserts, a booth called Combini (mixing Common Grounds and konbini), plus some exclusive collectibles that you can get from capsule vending machines.
There will be three beverages, three desserts, and two pastry items available at Common Grounds cafes until May 31, 2025. Crafted by Mikael Jasin, the beverage offerings include Café Au Blanc, Dirty Matcha, and Salted Sakura Latte. On the dessert and pastry side that developed by Common Grounds’ Head Chef and Head of Pastry, you can enjoy Azuki Matcha Mochi, Shibuya Toast, Tiramisu au Lait, Mango Hot Dog with Cake Fries, and Vanilla Choux Brûlée. Plus, with every purchase, you get a shot at playing the capsule vending machine for cute collectibles or scoring either mugs or tumblers wrapped in special Japanese furoshiki cloth.
