Exquisite dining programs have been carefully designed by the Resort’s team, along with an extraordinaire in the food and beverage field, to commemorate this period of purification.
One of the highlighted dining programs during Ramadan is a vibrant collaboration between the Restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine, Fajar Kurniawan, and the food and beverage savant, the owner of Mil’s Kitchen Yogyakarta, Chef Mili Hendratno. The big name of Chef Mili is not a surprise. He has done some remarkable kitchens take over across the nation. He has also been awarded prestigious accolades, including the 1st Winners Chef Challenge 2019 at the Yogyakarta International Food and Hospitality Expo Culinary competition.
Now Chef Mili will continue paving his pathway to success, this time through his collaboration with Ikan’s Chef de Cuisine, Fajar Kurniawan. This collaboration is entitled Ramadan Kolaborasa and will be held on Friday, 18th of April 2023, at the vibrant Ikan Restaurant at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. This uplifting collaboration features an enticing five-course menu highlighting Indonesian delicacies such as Smoked Bebek Madura, Barramundi Tinorasak, and Us Short Ribs Curry Aceh that will pamper the palate of the guests of this beachfront restaurant.
Another specially created program during this month is the Ramadan Iftar and Eid Mubarak. At the festivity, guests are invited to Ikan Restaurant to savor the special “Buka Puasa” menu for Iftar or the breaking of the fast for those who observe the ritual during Ramadan. This festivity is available throughout Ramadan until the 23rd of April. The irresistible menu for Ramadan Iftar and Eid Mubarak includes Octopus Mangut, Gulai Ikan Kakap, Beef Top Blade Tangkar, Bebek Rembang, and Coconut Skoteng.
Executive Pastry Chef, Antonio Yang, will collaborate with a talented local pastry maker, RAIA, to celebrate the festivity in love and thoughtful treats. RAIA’s mission to create joyful moments in people’s lives by offering only the best and high-quality desserts is in harmony with The Westin Resort Nusa Dua’s value of ensuring the guest’s well-being. The beliefs of both the Resort and RAIA are reflected in the jars of baked goods that contain no preservatives and no artificial flavors.
