The Westin Jakarta has appointed Luca Carrino as its new Executive Chef, where he will oversee the hotel’s culinary operations across its restaurants, lounges, and banquet facilities.
In his new role, Carrino will lead the culinary teams at Seasonal Tastes, Henshin, Daily Treats & Champagne Lounge, the Westin Club Lounge, and the hotel’s banquet operations, further strengthening the property’s food and beverage offerings.
Carrino brings extensive international experience gained from luxury hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and the Middle East. Before joining The Westin Jakarta, he served as Executive Sous Chef at Mandarin Oriental Taipei and Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, following an earlier role as Executive Sous Chef at Shangri-La Dubai.
Born and raised in Italy, Carrino’s culinary philosophy is rooted in Italian cuisine while shaped by years of working across diverse culinary destinations. Throughout his career, he has continuously explored regional ingredients and techniques, combining classical foundations with global influences developed through his international experience.

Outside the kitchen, Carrino enjoys staying active through exercise and squash, as well as spending time with friends while continuing to discover new dining destinations that inspire his culinary approach.
