The St. Regis Jakarta is delighted to announce the appointment of Oscar Perez as Director of Culinary, overseeing the distinctive dining destinations at the hotel. Bringing over three decades of global experience, Oscar is committed to elevating The St. Regis Jakarta’s culinary journey through his creative gastronomy take.

Oscar started his culinary career in 1992 and joined Marriott International’s portfolio in 1996 where he has worked with the culinary teams of Renaissance Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton Perdana Resort Langkawi, W Retreat & Spa Maldives, The St. Regis Bali, The Laguna Resort Bali and The St. Regis Singapore. With a strong passion for cuisine, Oscar always finds pleasure in seeing guests enjoying the delightful cuisines he has prepared.

Prior to joining The St. Regis Jakarta, Oscar was a Complex Director of Culinary of three hotels in Dubai, namely The Westin, Le Meridien and the newly opened W Dubai Mina Seyahi, where he oversaw 22 operating venues and off-site catering. Throughout his career journey, Oscar believes that the fundamental importance of delivering a culinary experience beyond expectation is the combined efforts of the team and a constant need and desire for improvement.

Oscar will lead the food and beverage team at The St. Regis Jakarta, elevating the legendary culinary indulgence of St. Regis brand and setting The St. Regis Jakarta as the best dining destination for discerning epicureans to experience gourmet excellence. Located in the best address within the three main business districts of Jakarta, The St. Regis Jakarta is home to a wide array of food and beverage venues.

Exceptional culinary journeys are presented through the hotel’s distinct culinary venues. The Drawing Room, located near the arrival lobby, is an elegant all-day lounge where guests can experience the signature traditions of St. Regis, such as Afternoon Tea and Champagne Sabrage. The all-day dining Bel Étage celebrates Indonesia’s multicultural heritage with a collection of Indonesian dishes along with Western, Asian, and Pan-Asian cuisines, from timeless classics to the chef’s personal recipes. 

Located in the heart of the hotel, Rosé is a deli where guests can enjoy artisanal coffees, teas, pastries, and cold cuts in a casual setting. The hotel’s signature St. Regis Bar is unique and different from every St. Regis hotel around the world, features a striking mural by Indonesian artist Eddy Susanto, which captures the interactive inspirations between art and jazz, and correlates the rhythm, energy, and spirit of the historical development of jazz in Indonesia. In addition, J.J.A which will be open in the first week of May 2023, presents a progressive yet sophisticated approach to gastronomy. The menu showcases modern contemporary dining, championing product-driven cuisine, seasonality of ingredients, and immaculate service.
