The 50 Best Bars has released its 2026 extended ranking, highlighting how far cocktail culture has spread. Ahead of the main awards in Milan this October, the organisers unveiled the bars ranked between No.51 and No.100, offering a snapshot of the creativity shaping drinks across continents and spanning 34 cities worldwide.

Asia’s Cocktail Map Expands
This year’s extended 51–100 list places Asia firmly at the centre of the conversation. From Goa to Tokyo, the region’s entries show just how varied and inventive cocktail culture has become.

Goa makes its debut with Boilermaker at No.57, while Shenzhen enters the spotlight with MO Bar at No.60. Hong Kong strengthens its position, adding Mius at No.81 alongside Coa, Penicillin, and The Savory Project. Bangkok contributes three names — G.O.D, Opium, and Vesper — each reflecting the city’s vibrant energy. Tokyo also secures three places, with Bar Trench, The SG Club, and The Bellwood rounding out the century mark. Elsewhere, Seoul’s Bar Cham, Taichung’s Vender, Sri Lanka’s Smoke & Bitters, and Singapore’s Offtrack add their own distinctive flavours.

Europe’s Strong Showing
Europe remains the most represented region, with 18 bars featured. Italy leads with four entries: Freni e Frizoni and Drink Kong in Rome, Gucci Giardino in Florence, and Milan’s 1930. Spain and the UK follow with three each, while Istanbul, Dublin, Paris, and Athens add fresh energy to the list. Scandinavia rounds out the region with Stockholm’s Tjoget and Röda Huset, plus Oslo’s Svanen.

North America’s Cocktail Capitals
Across the Atlantic, North America continues to shine. New York alone claims three spots — Double Chicken Please, Superbueno, and Employees Only — while New Orleans adds Jewel of the South and Chicago contributes Kumiko. Mexico maintains its strong presence with Form + Matter, Licorería Limantour, and Arca in Tulum. Central America celebrates a milestone as Otro Bar in San José becomes Costa Rica’s first entry.

New Voices from Africa and Oceania
This year also brings historic firsts. Accra introduces Front/Back and La Borracha, the first West African bars to appear in the ranking. Melbourne returns with Three Horses, while Dubai’s LPM represents the Middle East at No.58.

Now in its tenth year, the extended ranking has become a way to recognise more of the talent shaping the global bar scene. From established favourites to new names, the 51–100 list reflects the diversity and creativity driving cocktail culture today. Milan will host the unveiling of the top 50 on 7 October 2026, closing the countdown with one of the year’s most anticipated reveals.
