Jakarta has secured two new entries on the extended Asia’s 50 Best Bars 51–100 list for 2026, with Between the Sips debuting at No. 73 and Hats Bar entering at No. 77.

Released on 14 July ahead of the annual awards ceremony in Macau on 28 July, the extended ranking recognises bars placed between 51st and 100th in Asia. Compiled by the votes of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy—comprising more than 300 bartenders, bar owners, drinks journalists, and cocktail experts across the region—the list highlights the continued growth and diversity of Asia’s cocktail industry.

The two Jakarta newcomers reflect the Indonesian capital’s growing reputation as a destination for contemporary cocktail culture, joining a list that spans 25 cities across Asia. This year’s edition features 11 new entries, alongside several notable re-entries and bars that have significantly improved their rankings.

Singapore leads the extended list with seven bars, including the highest-ranked new entry, BOP at No. 52, followed by another newcomer, Bar Bon Funk, at No. 90. Kuala Lumpur is represented by four bars, highlighted by debut entry Cabinet 8 at No. 65, while Tokyo and Seoul each secured four places on the list.

Among this year’s biggest movers is The Enigma Mansion in Ho Chi Minh City, which climbed 38 places to No. 55—the largest increase on the extended ranking. Mainland China also expanded its representation with new entries from Hangzhou and Beijing, while emerging destinations including Galle in Sri Lanka and Makati in the Philippines made their first appearances.

According to Faye Huggett, Director of Community for Asia’s 50 Best Bars, this year’s extended list reflects the increasing influence of local cultures and regional ingredients on Asia’s evolving cocktail scene.

“It’s inspiring to see the continuing emergence of establishments paying homage to their local cultures and native ingredients on this year’s 51–100 list. From Mainland China to Southeast Asia and the Indian sub-continent, innovative professionals are showing there are no limits to creative cocktails. At the same time, founders of new boundary-pushing bars are also exploring eclectic new horizons in styling venues, nurturing ambience and the essence of hospitality.”

The Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 awards ceremony will take place at Wynn Palace in Macau on 28 July, marking the second consecutive year the event is hosted in partnership with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. The ceremony will reveal the region’s top 50 bars and will be streamed live via the organisation’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Deloitte continues to serve as the independent adjudication partner for Asia’s 50 Best Bars, overseeing the integrity of the voting process and the final rankings.
