InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah has introduced The Blooming Hour Afternoon Tea at The Lounge, a new afternoon tea menu centered around floral and botanical flavors. Available daily from 2 PM to 5 PM throughout September, the experience begins with a violet mocktail inspired by the water lily, made with butterfly pea, yuzu, and sparkling grape.
The afternoon tea is served on the venue’s signature gold tiered stand, with a selection of sweet and savory items. The sweets include a raspberry, lychee, and rose pastry; elderflower panna cotta with mixed berries; and freshly baked scones served with Chantilly cream and raspberry jam.
On the savory side, the menu features smoked sablefish with ikura, blue cheese and onion quiche with pear compote, and chicken pelalah served on warm turmeric focaccia. The latter takes inspiration from Balinese flavors and cooking traditions.
The menu is paired with a selection of fine teas, served in blue-and-white porcelain.
The Blooming Hour Afternoon Tea is available daily at The Lounge from 2 PM to 5 PM throughout September. Reservations are recommended.
