Celebrate Indonesia's Independence Day with these special offers of Indonesian flavors from these Jakarta eateries.

Indonesia is gearing up to celebrate its 78th Independence Day anniversary. The Independence Day ceremony, or as we call it “upacara hari kemerdekaan” in the morning, is a ceremony many look forward to. With the country’s culture, the people typically continue to celebrate the fun day by having various contests and races, such as eating the traditional Indonesian crackers known as “kerupuk”.

Many people also are on the hunt for the Independence Day promotions, whether they are food or things. Like any other holiday, Independence Day won’t be complete without a sumptuous feast to make the celebration merrier. These restaurants and eateries have curated some special menus along with fun promotions to make your Independence Day celebration more joyous.

We have rounded up places to dine on this much anticipated holiday. Some of these places introduce a fun twist on Indonesian cuisine and many offer a special Independence Day menu you can try for the month of August. Pick a favorite, have a feast, and enjoy the day.
