On 22 July 2026, The St. Regis Bar Jakarta will host a special guest shift by Gong Gan, a well‑known cocktail bar from Seoul. For one evening, co‑founder Willy Park will present drinks that reflect the bar’s distinctive approach to Korean mixology.

Gong Gan is based in Jongno, a district in Seoul where tradition and history are part of everyday life. The bar is located inside a restored hanok, and its setting has shaped the way it works with ingredients and ideas. Drinks at Gong Gan often highlight Korean flavors while using modern techniques, creating a style that feels both familiar and inventive.

The bar was founded by Willy Park and Evan Noh, who wanted to connect culture with cocktails in a thoughtful way. Their work has been recognized across Asia, with Gong Gan entering Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2024 at No. 89 and rising to No. 63 in 2025. This steady climb reflects the attention the bar has received for its creative use of local elements and its ability to tell stories through drinks.

The guest shift in Jakarta is part of the “Raising The Bar” series, which brings international bartenders to The St. Regis Bar Jakarta. For Jakarta’s cocktail community, it offers a chance to experience how Gong Gan’s philosophy translates outside its home setting. The evening will highlight the balance of heritage and modern craft that has defined Gong Gan’s identity in Seoul.
