Changi Airport resumed the operations of Terminal 2 (T2) on Wednesday (11/3), ahead of the originally planned schedule, aiming to restore terminal operations and welcome Indonesian travelers who have chosen Singapore as their year-end holiday destination. The rejuvenated T2 introduces a brand-new experience, featuring state-of-the-art facilities that blend a modern terminal atmosphere inspired by nature with immersive digital experiences and innovative technology, including attractions like The Wonderfall and Dreamscape.
“Changi Airport consistently strives to provide innovation and top-notch service, leading the way in retail and culinary trends. With the expansion of T2, we aim to enhance travelers’ experiences by integrating a modern terminal atmosphere inspired by nature with immersive digital experiences, innovative technology, and transformative retail and culinary concepts that create a special ambiance,” said Tan Lye Teck, Programme Director of the Terminal 2 Expansion Project at Changi Airport Group.
The Gourmet Garden, a unique dining area with stunning apron views and beautiful hanging greenery from the ceiling, invites travelers to explore the distinct flavors of Singapore. These flavors are represented by the presence of Satay Club by Harry’s, renowned for its signature satay, and it also offers local fusion cocktail creations such as Chendol Colada, TSK “Kopi” Ice, and the famous Harry’s Singapore Sling.
Additionally, there is Chicken Rice Wee Nam Kee, where visitors can savor the iconic Singaporean chicken rice. Meanwhile, at the bakery and coffee shop, The Hainan Story, fresh-baked pastries and Kopi Gu You (butter coffee) will quench your thirst for Singaporean culinary heritage. Other local favorites are also available, including CRAVE Nasi Lemak, selling the popular coconut rice dish paired with a variety of side dishes, and Old Chang Kee, famous for curry puffs and other snacks.
The revitalized public spaces in T2 are also home to several new and exciting local and international brands. There is Kopi Kenangan from Indonesia, known not only for high-quality coffee at affordable prices but also for its diverse beverage options that blend Asian and international flavors. A must-try signature drink is the Kenangan Latte, a delightful fusion of espresso and palm sugar. For dim sum enthusiasts, the renowned local brand Swee Choon will continue to serve its favorite dishes while introducing Hong Kong milk tea gelato in an exclusive collaboration with local ice cream cafe Creamier at Changi Airport.
Changi Airport has enhanced the travel experience for visitors in T2 through a range of innovations. These innovations aim to make travelers more enjoy the trip.
