East Quarter has introduced a new menu collection, A Journey Through Asia, marking the restaurant’s fourth menu revamp since opening at Grand Indonesia in 2023. Available from 20 July 2026, the latest collection draws inspiration from culinary traditions across Asia while reinterpreting classic dishes through the restaurant’s contemporary Pan Asian approach.

Developed around East Quarter’s philosophy of Elevating Asian Flavors, the menu showcases dishes inspired by countries including India, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, and China. Rather than recreating traditional recipes, the restaurant presents familiar regional flavours through modern techniques and presentation.

Among the highlights is Prawn Butter Masala, which pairs grilled tiger prawns with a creamy tomato-based butter masala sauce served alongside paratha and pickled shallots. The Philippines is represented by Beef Sisig, combining beef cheek, minced beef, tendon, and roasted bone marrow with calamansi, crispy beef chicharon, and a spicy soy-based sisig sauce. Meanwhile, Beef Cheek Massaman Curry features beef cheek that is wet-brined for 24 hours before being cooked sous vide for 36 hours, served with fragrant Massaman curry, potatoes, eggplant, and cashew nuts.

Japanese influences appear in Nori Butter Udon, where dashi broth, brown butter, and nori are combined with udon noodles, tiger prawns, crab, and shimeji mushrooms, while Avocado Tempura offers a starter of crispy tempura-coated avocado served with smoked jalapeño aioli, lime, and togarashi. Representing Chinese cuisine, Five Spices Smoked Duck is seasoned with traditional Chinese five-spice before being slow-cooked and smoked. The meal concludes with Banoffee, East Quarter’s take on the classic dessert featuring banana, caramel namelaka, whipped ganache, sable, and toffee sauce.

“With A Journey Through Asia, we want to show that Pan Asian cuisine is more than simply combining dishes from different countries. For us, it’s about respecting the identity of each dish, then reinterpreting it through East Quarter’s perspective,” said Alnico Andreas, Chef Owner of TOMA Group.

Located at Lower Ground, East Mall, Grand Indonesia, East Quarter has specialised in Pan Asian cuisine since opening in 2023. The new menu continues the restaurant’s exploration of Asian flavours through contemporary interpretations while expanding its selection of appetisers, mains, and desserts.
