After almost a month of lockdown, the latest government regulations have started to allow dining at restaurants and hotels with outdoor seating. This is amazing news for all of us who have been staying at home and are dying to start to venture out. But of course this is also great for all our F&B and hospitality friends who need to drum up more business.
What do we need to know about these new regulations? The government is allowing dining in open air dining areas, not indoors. All servers and guests must be vaccinated with vaccine certificates on record. Guests are limited to 25% of the area’s capacity. Live music and DJ music is not allowed. And the hardest regulation, for me and many of you I’m sure, is the time limit of 20 minutes for guests to eat their food.
If you ask me, it’s a start. For those of you, who are craving to eat out this is your opportunity. Remember, most venues do not accept walk-in. As there are these requirements to be collected and capacity is greatly reduced, make sure you book your tables in advance.
Let’s support our F&B and hospitality friends by starting to dine out, if you are ready and comfortable with it. If you prefer to stay home, remember our friends are in dire need of your support. So please order food for delivery from your favorite restaurants, cafes and warungs. Try something new or go to your all time favorites. Your order will definitely go a long way in helping our friends out.
