Conrad Bali has curated some of Bali island’s most innovative startups, small and medium enterprises, and artisans in a two-week festive trade arcade showcasing ethical homegrown products and local fare. The aim is for visitors to have the opportunity to sample the best of what Bali offers beyond its beaches and luscious landscapes. With the wet season in full swing, Conrad Bali’s festive program offers guests alternatives to day trips with diverse, fun, and interactive experiences from 10th to 25th December 2022.
The pop-up trade market will feature over 20 of Bali’s unique and inventive vendors exhibiting arts and crafts, home decor, natural skincare, jewellery and fashion, food and beverage and much more with a focus on sustainability, minimal waste, ethical practices and artisanal handmade.
In addition, there will be an array of daily demos, dialogues, delicacy tasting and workshops facilitated by some of the featured vendors available for guests to participate in. There will be a daily craft corner operated by Volen Art Space where guests can try their hand at knitting, macramé, crocheting and making clay earrings. Soap bar and candle making, body butter creation, ceramic painting and silver jewellery making are among other activities that are suitable for both adults and kids to enjoy and get their creative juices flowing, especially on a rainy day.
Business founders will present on a range of topics within the theme of sustainability during a series of dialogues and guests can take a gastronomic journey sampling local delicacies such as artisanal cheeses, carob, organic produce such as nut butter, granola and medicinal jamu, as well as trying Bali’s famous alcoholic beverage- arak.
Conrad aims to offer guests an exclusive insight into the array of talent and ingenuity on the island of the Gods as well as a chance to fill their Christmas stockings and suitcases with products and gifts born and bred in Bali.
“Being part of the Hilton hotels group we treasure our enduring role in supporting and fostering opportunities for local communities. We carry the commitment and bring it into action through our very first Festive Arcade this year. Inviting more than 20 vendors, guests may enjoy the best curated local creative brands while also making a positive impact on Bali’s economy”, said Yoan Irma, Commercial Director at Conrad Bali.
