Welcoming the Year of the Water Rabbit, Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is delighted to present a series of grand Chinese New Year celebrations. Guests are invited to treat families and loved ones to an authentic Cantonese feast with an abundance of Chinese New Year tempting menus and mouthwatering Festive Delicacies.

The festivities will begin with the Guzheng musical performance on 21 January 2023 at 6:30 pm in the thenlobby of the hotel. Guzheng, also known as the Chinese zither, is a traditional musical instrument comprised of 21 plucked strings, creating the perfect harmony and atmosphere for this celebration. Music will continue to entertain guests throughout the evening, accompanied by performances from the God of Wealth, usually called Cai Shen Ye. As part of the hotel’s annual tradition of ushering in the Chinese New Year, this celebration will combine delightful dining experiences with live entertainment to create wonderful and unforgettable memories.

Delightful Chinese New Year Set Menus

Guests are invited to celebrate new beginnings with a truly delicious and perfectly crafted Chinese New Year set menu at Jakarta’s Award Winning Chinese restaurant, Li Feng. Led by Executive Chinese Chef Yang Guojian and one of China’s most notable 2 Michelin star chefs, Chef Fei, Li Feng will present authentic Cantonese cuisine in a culturally rich space, making it the perfect venue for auspicious new year celebrations with family and loved ones.

The sumptuous meal will start with the serving of Prosperity Yu Sheng, the traditional dish of Chinese New Year, served with Salmon and Jelly fish with garden vegetables in homemade apple cider plum dressing. Other highlights of the menu include Deep Fried Golden Swan Dumpling with Roasted Duck, Steamed Tiger Grouper Fish with Tofu Black Fungus in Soya Sauce, and Roasted BBQ Platter Pork Char Siew Roasted Duck and Crispy Pork Belly.

The 11-course ‘Kung Hei Fat Choi’ set menu will be available at Li Feng on 21 January 2023 for dinner and 22 January 2023 for lunch and dinner (Pre-order 24hours in advance), priced at IDR 2,288,000++ per person.

This year, the hotel will also offer an alternative venue and menu at Lyon, prepared by the Li Feng team and available on 21 January 2023 for dinner priced at 1,988,000++ per person.

In addition, Cinnamon will offer its very popular Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet on 21 January 2023 and Chinese New Year’s Buffet on 22 January 2023 both priced at IDR 588,000++ per person.
