Byrd House Bali is set to present a special dining event celebrating the cuisine of Italy’s Tuscan coast, with Executive Chef Luca Masini leading a one-night-only dinner on 26 June 2026. Held at the beachfront restaurant in Sanur, the event will feature a five-course menu inspired by the ingredients, flavours, and dining traditions of the region where the chef was born and raised.
Located within Segara Village Hotel, Byrd House Bali has established its culinary identity around Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, combining handmade pastas, seafood, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes in a relaxed beachfront setting. The upcoming dinner continues that focus while offering guests a more personal expression of Chef Luca’s culinary background.
A Menu Inspired by Tuscany’s Coastline
Born in Livorno, a historic port city on Tuscany’s western coast, Chef Luca Masini has built his career across Europe, Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia. For this event, he draws on the flavours and traditions of his hometown, presenting a menu that reflects the simplicity and ingredient-focused approach often associated with Tuscan cooking.
The specially curated five-course menu highlights seasonal produce, handmade elements, and Mediterranean influences that have shaped Chef Luca’s culinary philosophy throughout his career. While rooted in traditional Tuscan cuisine, the dishes also incorporate fresh ingredients sourced from Bali, creating a balance between Italian heritage and local produce.
Guests will also have the option to complement the meal with a wine pairing selection designed to accompany each course and enhance the progression of flavours throughout the evening.

According to Chef Luca, the dinner is intended to capture the spirit of coastal Tuscany, where meals are often centred around family, conversation, and the enjoyment of quality ingredients.
“For me, Tuscan cuisine is deeply emotional,” said Chef Luca. “It’s not about making food complicated; it’s about celebrating great ingredients, genuine warmth, and the joy of sharing a meal together. Through this dinner, I want to share a piece of my hometown with our guests. An experience that feels relaxed, joyful, and full of flavor, just as it would along the Tuscan coast.”
