Bella Cucina at InterContinental Bali Resort will welcome Italian-born chef and television personality Luca Ciano this October for a series of culinary experiences centered on Italian cooking and its regional traditions. Taking place across four dates from October 4 to 9, the programme will include a Sunday brunch, two six-course dinners, and a hands-on cooking class for children.

Born in Milan and now based in Sydney, Ciano is known for his television series Luca’s Key Ingredients, as well as his handmade pastas and Italian sauces. His cooking draws from recipes and food memories passed down through generations, with Italian ingredients and traditional techniques playing a central role in his approach.

At Bella Cucina, Ciano will present different interpretations of Italian cuisine through four separate experiences, ranging from a casual Sunday brunch to a wine-paired dinner with San Marzano.

Italian Sunday Brunch

The programme begins on Sunday, October 4, with The Ultimate Sunday Brunch. Ciano will bring his signature Italian dishes to Bella Cucina alongside the restaurant’s contemporary creations, offering a selection of Italian favorites inspired by the traditional Italian table.

The brunch is priced from IDR 790,000++ per person.

Six Course Degustation Dinner

On Wednesday, October 7, Ciano will present a six-course degustation dinner featuring handmade pasta, Italian classics, and contemporary interpretations of dishes inspired by the cuisine of his childhood.

The dinner is priced at IDR 900,000++ per person.

San Marzano Wine Pairing Dinner

The following evening, Thursday, October 8, will feature a six-course dinner paired with San Marzano wines. Each wine will be selected to complement the flavors, textures, and aromas of Ciano’s dishes, with the menu exploring his contemporary interpretation of Italian cuisine.

The dinner draws a connection between the food and wine of Southern Italy and its setting in Jimbaran, with San Marzano wines from Puglia accompanying the six-course menu.

The experience is priced at IDR 1,200,000++ per person.

Junior Cooking Class

The final experience takes place on Friday, October 9, when Ciano will host a hands-on cooking class for children aged 12 and under. The class will introduce young participants to Italian ingredients, basic cooking techniques, and culinary traditions while they prepare their own Italian-inspired dishes.

The Junior Cooking Class is priced at IDR 300,000++ per child.

For Ciano, Italian cooking is closely connected to family and memory, with his Italian heritage and his mother’s cooking continuing to influence his approach. His residency at Bella Cucina brings those influences to Bali through a programme that combines Italian food traditions with the restaurant’s setting overlooking Jimbaran Bay.
