CHAGEE has introduced Apple English Breakfast Tea to Jakarta this August, a blend that brings together two enduring symbols—tea and apples—into one cup. Tea, first cultivated in China, has become part of daily rituals worldwide, while apples have long been grown across Europe and Asia, appearing in both kitchens and art.

The drink is crafted from five teas: Assam from India for its malty strength, Lapsang Souchong from Fujian with its smoky character, Yunnan Golden Pekoe for gentle richness, Four Seasons Spring from Taiwan adding floral balance, and Highland Qilan from Fujian with its orchid aroma. Red Fuji apples from Shandong, China, are cold-extracted and infused into the leaves, creating a flavor where fruit and tea meet naturally.

The launch is part of a partnership with Tate in the United Kingdom. Three still-life paintings—Henri Fantin-Latour’s A Plate of Apples, Paul Cézanne’s Still Life with Water Jug, and Mark Gertler’s The Basket of Fruit—inspire the design of limited-edition packaging and merchandise. The partnership also supports Tate’s conservation work, helping preserve its collection for future generations. Rosey Blackmore, Director of Licensing and Merchandising at Tate, explains: “We always look for meaningful ways to extend engagement with Tate’s collection beyond our galleries. This partnership allows CHAGEE to create products that bring together art, design, and daily rituals, inspired by these still-life works.”

To celebrate, CHAGEE is hosting interactive experiences until 12 August 2026. At PIK Avenue, visitors can explore “Drinkable Masterpieces,” while Lippo Mall Puri features a photobooth highlighting “Masterpiece Moments.” The release invites tea lovers to experience how flavor and art can meet in everyday life.
