BISTECCA has become the first and only restaurant in Indonesia to serve Australia’s 2026 Grand Champion Marble King Wagyu MB9, following the producer’s victory at the 2026 Wagyu Branded Beef Competition (WBBC), Australia’s longest-running and most prestigious Wagyu competition.
To mark its arrival, the steakhouse will host the Marble King Wagyu MB9 Grand Champion Showcase, a two-day event taking place on 30 and 31 July 2026 at both BISTECCA 18 Parc Place, SCBD, and BISTECCA PIK Avenue.
Marble King earned the Grand Champion title during WagyuEdge ’26, the Australian Wagyu Association’s flagship conference, after receiving the highest overall score among all entries. Judges described the winning beef as “succulent and buttery” with a melting texture, lasting juiciness, and rich umami, recognizing it as this year’s benchmark for Wagyu eating quality in Australia.
The showcase also reflects BISTECCA’s approach to serving premium beef at its peak condition. Rather than using frozen Wagyu, the restaurant serves Marble King Wagyu MB9 fresh, preparing each shipment immediately upon arrival to preserve its flavor, texture, and overall quality.
According to Executive Chef Luca Pezzera, timing plays as important a role as sourcing when working with premium Wagyu.
“When you work with beef of this calibre, timing matters just as much as sourcing. Our responsibility doesn’t end when the Wagyu arrives. It begins there. Every decision we make, from processing to serving, is about respecting the quality of the beef. The Grand Champion Showcase is our way of ensuring guests experience Marble King at the moment we believe it delivers its very best flavour, texture and character.”
Available for two days only, the showcase features a selection of Marble King Wagyu MB9 cuts, including tenderloin, striploin, rib eye, picanha, and oyster blade, offered in various serving sizes. Prices start from Rp. 980,000++ for a 200-gram tenderloin or 300-gram oyster blade, while larger one-kilogram portions of selected cuts are available from Rp. 3,400,000++ to Rp. 4,900,000++.
Held immediately after each fresh shipment arrives, the Marble King Wagyu MB9 Grand Champion Showcase is designed to present the award-winning beef during its optimal freshness window, giving diners the opportunity to experience Australia’s reigning Grand Champion Wagyu as intended by its producer.
