Animale Restaurant is bringing back its Sunday Roast programme, reviving the British dining tradition of slow-roasted meats, classic side dishes, and leisurely weekend meals. Beginning 7 June 2026, the offering will be available on the first Sunday of every month, served throughout the day at the restaurant’s South Jakarta location.
Originally rooted in British culinary culture, Sunday Roast has long been associated with communal dining and family-style gatherings centred around roasted meats and traditional accompaniments. At Animale, the concept is reinterpreted through the restaurant’s contemporary cooking style while retaining the familiar elements of the classic meal.
Ribeye Roasts with Traditional Accompaniments
The menu features a choice of a 200gr A5 Top Sirloin, each roast is served with a selection of traditional accompaniments including Yorkshire pudding, potato purée, grilled broccolini, and beef au jus, followed by sticky dates pudding for dessert.
According to the restaurant, the experience is designed to encourage a slower-paced approach to dining, whether for a weekend lunch, an extended dinner, or a gathering with friends and family around the table.
Located on the 11th floor of MD Place in Kuningan, Animale is known for its progressive Mediterranean cuisine, with a menu that incorporates wood-fired cooking, house-cured charcuterie, dry-aged meats, and handmade pasta. The restaurant is part of MDA Restaurants, a Jakarta-based hospitality group behind concepts including Aged-Butchered, Carbón, Wabi-Sabi, and Ironplate.
Reservations are recommended for the Sunday Roast, which returns on 7 June and continues on the first Sunday of every month.
