Whisky Live & Fine Spirits Macau 2025 will take place on November 28 and 29 at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. Co-presented by SJM Resorts, S.A. and Whisky Magazine, the event brings together whisky, cocktails, food, and music in one setting. This year’s edition expands on last year’s success, offering more whiskies, more bars, and a wider cultural program. Visitors can explore over 500 whiskies from more than 80 international brands, meet distillers and brand ambassadors, and take part in guided tastings.
Food plays a central role. The resort’s restaurants will prepare whisky-themed menus throughout November, while the VIP Lounge will serve dishes designed to pair with live performances. SJM’s long culinary history in Macau will be reflected in Macanese, Portuguese, Chinese, and Western flavors presented during the festival.
Cocktail culture is highlighted through the Asia Bar Show, which features twelve leading bars from across the region. Mesa Bar at The Karl Lagerfeld Macau, led by Frederick Ma, will present signature creations. Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social from Hong Kong will join under Jennifer Ho, recognized in the HK Bar Awards 2025. Other participants include Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou, Carrots Bar from Jakarta, To Infinity & Beyond from Taipei, Bee’s Knees from Kyoto, The Opposites from Hong Kong, and Two Moons from Macau.
An annual tradition continues with the release of a collector’s bottle. For 2025, Tsunuki distillery in Japan has produced a single cask whisky matured in a Cream Sherry cask for six years. Made with peated malt, it offers smoky notes balanced with dried fruit and sweetness. Only 500 bottles will be available, making it a rare highlight of the event.
Education is also part of the program. Master classes will be led by figures such as Hiroaki Nakamura of Hombo Shuzo, Michiaki Shinozaki of Shindo Distillery, Sukhinder Singh of Elixir Distillers, John Hung of Douglas Laing & Co., and Arthur Le Vaillant of La Maison du Whisky. These sessions will explore whisky heritage, regional styles, and the details of production and maturation, accompanied by guided tastings.
Whisky Live & Fine Spirits Macau 2025 offers two days of tasting, learning, and cultural exchange. With whisky, cocktails, food, and music all under one roof, the event reflects the growing diversity of drinking and dining culture in Asia.
