With just weeks to go before the unveiling of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025, the organizers have announced the extended list of bars ranked 51 to 100. Released for the ninth consecutive year, the list celebrates a broader range of venues shaping the global cocktail scene, compiled from votes by more than 800 experts including bartenders, educators, drinks writers, and cocktail authorities.
This year’s 51–100 list spans 34 cities worldwide, with 16 new entries from destinations such as Bangkok, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Florence, London, Medellín, and New Delhi. The USA once again leads with eight bars across five cities, while Europe dominates the list overall with 15 entries. Asia is represented by 12 bars, including three from Hong Kong — the first time the city has led the region since 2019.
Highlights include Medellín’s first-ever appearances with Mamba Negra (No.81) and Bar Carmen (No.100), alongside Vender in Taichung (No.74) and Lair in New Delhi (No.96) as first-time entrants. Other notable placements are Argo in Hong Kong (No.56), Licorería Limantour in Mexico City (No.52), and Rome’s Freni e Frizioni (No.58).
Asia’s Presence on the 2025 List
Asia has a strong showing in this year’s extended ranking, with 12 bars across the region making the cut. Hong Kong leads the pack with three entries: Argo (No.56), Coa (No.63), and Penicillin (No.83). Bangkok is represented by The Loft (No.66) and Bar Us (No.88), while Tokyo contributes with High Five (No.71) and Mixology Salon (No.97). Singapore’s influence continues with Manhattan (No.72) and Analogue Initiative (No.87). Taiwan celebrates with Taichung newcomer Vender (No.74), while Charles H (No.60) in Seoul and Lair (No.96) in New Delhi round out the list.
