The St. Regis Jakarta is celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival this year with a special mooncake collection that brings together tradition, symbolism, and careful design. The festival is often seen as a time for reunion, reflection, and giving meaningful gifts. At its heart, it’s a moment to gather with loved ones and enjoy something that holds cultural and emotional value.

The 2025 collection is inspired by the image of a crane in flight—a bird that often represents long life, hope, and peace. This graceful symbol sets the tone for a collection that honors the season’s deeper meanings. Two types of boxes have been created to hold the mooncakes. One is called Red Harmony, a tall four-layered box that stands for calm and balance. The other is Six Fortune, round in shape, symbolizing unity and abundance. Both boxes are carefully designed with a look and feel that reflect the attention to detail The St. Regis is known for.

Inside these elegant boxes are mooncakes made using trusted recipes and ingredients that reflect different parts of Chinese culinary heritage. Guests can expect familiar flavors such as White Lotus, Red Bean, Black Sesame, and Pandan. For added richness, some mooncakes also include a single egg yolk, paired with White Lotus or Black Sesame filling. These mooncakes are made by hand and follow traditions that have been passed down over time, aiming to connect the past with the present in each bite.

Orders for the collection are open from mid-August through early October. During this time, families and friends may choose to send these mooncakes to each other as tokens of care and shared memories. The Mid-Autumn Festival is not only about celebrating with food—it’s also about recognizing the bonds between people, whether through simple gestures or thoughtful gifts.
