T’ang Court at The Langham, Jakarta will host a four-day culinary collaboration from 22 to 25 May 2025, featuring Executive Chinese Chef Chong Kooi Sam alongside guest chef Tsang Chiu King of Ming Court, Wanchai. The event brings together two generations of chefs rooted in Cantonese culinary traditions, offering a multi-course tasting menu that highlights classic techniques with refined, contemporary execution.

Chef Tsang Chiu King, currently the culinary director of Ming Court Hong Kong, brings over 50 years of experience to the collaboration. Recognised for his role in developing Ming Court’s identity and reputation, he has worked extensively across Asia, Australia, and Europe. His dishes reflect a longstanding dedication to traditional Cantonese cuisine, informed by global culinary perspectives.

At T’ang Court Jakarta, Chef King will work alongside Chef Sam, who also participates in The Langham’s Chinese Star Chef Academy, a mentorship program designed to develop young culinary talent within the hotel group. The program fosters collaboration between established and emerging Chinese chefs, with Chef King acting as mentor to several participants, including Chef Sam.

The set menu, priced from IDR 2,088,000++ per person, includes a range of dishes that blend heritage with modern technique. Highlights include Shredded Duck Spring Roll with Frozen Foie Gras, Wok-Fried Lobster with whisky and preserved radish, and Marinated Beef Short Ribs paired with black truffle and honey sauce. The dishes aim to balance texture and flavour while maintaining the integrity of Cantonese cooking traditions.

This limited-time event continues T’ang Court Jakarta’s series of guest chef programs and marks the first collaboration between the Jakarta venue and Ming Court in Hong Kong.
