Maya Sanur Resort & Spa has launched Rue, a new all-day dining venue that combines the easygoing charm of a street-side café with contemporary styling and the casual elegance of a resort setting. Officially open to the public as of 19 April 2025, Rue adds a modern and relaxed alternative to the area’s dining scene, welcoming hotel guests, locals, tourists, and digital nomads alike.
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Rue caters to a wide range of dining occasions—whether for a morning coffee, brunch, casual lunch, or evening gathering over cocktails and shared plates.
The menu at Rue is led by Chef Justin Mauté, Culinary, Food & Beverage Director of Maya Resorts, who draws inspiration from Bali’s vibrant café culture. Channeling a Canggu-style casualness into the heart of Sanur, Chef Mauté’s menu features fresh Australian café-inspired fare with a European influence. Notable dishes include the Big Rue Burger, Rue Fried Chicken Bucket, and Roast Fire Camembert, alongside a variety of pizzas baked in a lava stone oven for a crisp, professional-quality crust.
Desserts and baked goods are also central to Rue’s offering, with a pastry selection that includes Valrhona Caramelia, burnt cheesecake, and chocolate Suisse danish. A dedicated Kids Corner adds to the venue’s family-friendly appeal, providing a relaxed space for children to play while parents enjoy their meal.
In celebration of its opening, Rue is introducing several promotions. The first ten dine-in guests daily will receive 50% off their breakfast bill. A “2 for 1” pizza offer is available every Tuesday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and a daily happy hour runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring 50% off selected cocktails and wines by the glass.
With a laid-back yet polished atmosphere, approachable food, and a flexible dining concept, Rue aims to become a new go-to for Sanur residents and visitors seeking an informal, stylish place to eat and gather throughout the day.
