After the air fryer frenzy, it feels like kitchen tech has entered a quieter, more practical phase. These days, what we look for isn’t just speed, but ease. After all, cooking at home isn’t just about keeping up with trends—it’s become part of how we live, and in some cases, how we earn.

So when Polytron introduced its new Kitchenmate Oven Listrik Low Watt at Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2025, the pitch felt familiar—but also relevant. This isn’t a flashy release; it’s one designed for real kitchens, real routines, and real side gigs.

I’ve always found baking to be therapeutic, if occasionally intimidating. I used to think proofing dough required serious technique or at least a warm window ledge. But lately, with hundreds of easy baking videos floating around and more compact appliances in the market, the learning curve feels less steep. That’s where something like Kitchenmate’s fermentation feature comes in—a small, targeted upgrade that could make everyday baking more approachable for home cooks or even weekend sellers.

Available in 22-liter and 33-liter sizes, the new Kitchenmate oven focuses on two things: reliability and practicality. The standout features include a Stay On Timer, which lets the oven run continuously without resetting—a plus for slow roasts or consistent bread bakes. The Fermentation Mode, available in the 33-liter model, supports dough proofing at stable temperatures with a single button press. For anyone experimenting with sourdough or fluffy buns, it’s a welcome detail.

Standard functions haven’t been left behind. There’s Rotisserie for roasting a whole chicken evenly, Convection Heating for uniform results, and five adjustable heat modes with dual temperature settings that go up to 250°C. The power consumption stays low—starting from 400W—thanks to single-side heating options. It’s built for homes that balance energy costs with creativity in the kitchen.

Visually, the oven gets a mild refresh. Now available in navy and white with wooden-handle details, it blends into modern kitchens while keeping things simple. Accessories like the Rotisserie Stick, Enamel Bake Tray, Crumb Tray, and Stainless Wire Rack come included.

The appliance feels tailored for mompreneurs, casual bakers, or anyone who wants to cook more without making a production out of it. According to BPS data from February 2025, over 59% of Indonesia’s workforce is in the informal sector—many of them small food businesses operating from home. Polytron’s update feels like a nod to that reality.

“This oven is our way of offering a practical and reliable solution for home businesses,” says Felita Septian Giovani, Product Specialist for Polytron’s Small Home Appliances. “We hope it supports more diverse and efficient cooking creations.”

During its launch, Polytron is offering exclusive prices via Blibli, starting at Rp 574,000 for the 22L navy model. The white 33L version is priced at Rp 969,000, all with a one-year warranty. Purchases at Jakarta Fair include a baking spatula set, while stocks last.

It’s not the kind of tech that demands attention—but that’s the point. It quietly improves something we already do, and that’s often the most meaningful upgrade.
