The Mid-Autumn Festival has always been a time for gathering, sharing, and remembering the ties that hold people together. At Li Lian 丽莲, the Chinese restaurant at Park Hyatt Jakarta, this year’s celebration is marked by its first mooncake collection, Mid-Autumn Harmony.
The focus is on flavor and tradition. Four varieties make up the collection, each prepared with care; Black Sesame with Single Egg Yolk, White Lotus with Single Egg Yolk, Pandan, and Durian. Each carries its own character, from the nutty depth of sesame to the fragrant sweetness of pandan, offering a balance between familiar tastes and festive indulgence.
The mooncakes are presented in sets that highlight the spirit of giving. Moonlit Harmony brings together all four flavors, while Celestial Harmony pairs the assortment with Li Lian’s Signature Tea Pecan Cookies, adding a gentle, complementary note to the experience.
Executive Chinese Chef Tan Kwang Aik explains, “for Li Lian 丽莲’s first mooncake collection, we wanted to create something that honors tradition while offering a thoughtful experience for gifting and sharing. Each flavor has been carefully selected to reflect both familiarity and the spirit of the season.”
