Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Bali has announced a special culinary event titled Pulo Rempah, featuring two evenings of food, drink, and culture that spotlight Indonesia’s diverse spice heritage. The event is led by Executive Chef Adi Wijaya and held in partnership with East Indies and Nusantara Cold Brew, two brands under Spice Islands Distilling Co.
The programme starts on Monday, 23 June 2025, with a casual beachside cocktail evening at Nelayan Restaurant. You can relax with views over Jimbaran Bay while tasting creative cocktails and cold brew blends by East Indies and Nusantara Cold Brew. The main event follows on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, with a three-course dinner titled the Pulo Rempah Dinner. Chef Adi Wijaya presents dishes inspired by different regions of Indonesia, including Urap Pakis Ikan Teri, Tipat Belayag with Be Sampi Menyatnyat, Sate Ayam Plecing, and Taluh Puwuh. For dessert, the menu offers a sampler of Sumping Waluh, Pisang Rai, and Es Krim Nangka.
Each dish is paired with drinks—both cocktails and mocktails—using local ingredients such as rosemary, lime, ginger, and Kusamba salt. The dinner will also feature a live keroncong music performance, adding a nostalgic tone to the evening. Both events will take place at Jimbaran Puri’s beachfront venue, inviting guests to enjoy the tastes and sounds of the Indonesian archipelago in a relaxed setting.
