J.J.A., the signature restaurant at The St. Regis Jakarta, has unveiled a new menu inspired by the cuisine and culture of the French Riviera. Known for its refined dining and technique-driven approach, J.J.A. now turns its attention to the sun-drenched southern coast of France, offering a selection of dishes that balance coastal freshness with timeless French culinary traditions.
The updated menu draws from the region’s emphasis on seasonal ingredients, seafood-forward cooking, and bold yet elegant flavors. While the French Riviera is often associated with laid-back luxury, J.J.A. interprets this influence through the lens of its own philosophy—precision in execution and a focus on contemporary refinement.
Central to the new offerings is the restaurant’s use of the Pira grill, a signature element in its kitchen that imparts a subtle smokiness and depth to grilled proteins. Among the highlights is the Côte de Bœuf, a robust sharing cut prepared over the Pira’s high heat, bringing out the meat’s natural richness. The Coquilles Saint-Jacques, a French classic, is presented with delicate attention to texture and flavor, celebrating the sweetness of scallops.
Other notable additions include the Soupe à L’Oignon, a comforting yet elevated rendition of the traditional French onion soup, and Pâtes aux Fruits de Mer, combining house-made pasta with fresh seafood in a dish that channels the Riviera’s Mediterranean influence.
With this new culinary direction, J.J.A. continues its evolution as one of Jakarta’s notable fine dining venues, reinforcing its identity through well-executed dishes that speak to both place and season. The Riviera-inspired menu is now available for lunch and dinner at The St. Regis Jakarta.
